Any Tomb Raider fans here? Doubt it. I plan to buy this game on PS2. I can't wait to see how it's compared from the PSX version to the newly updated one.
 
Sounds cool. I loved the first 3 games on the original Playstation.
 
TR fan right here! Been a fan since the first game and fell in love with it. Played them all but did start to lose my faith in the franchise around TR5 because the magic that the original had was lost. Legend was great though.

Anniversary came out today in the UK and I plan on getting it pretty soon when I have the money. Anyone played it yet? Is it better than the original?
 
The first three are great, and have heard nothing but good about Last Revelation and Legend. Chronicles is apparently so-so and Angel of Darkness is a turd. Regardless,

I've played the demo and listened to the Soundtrack already. It's amazing, the graphics are nice, but I think there is a slight difference in graphics between the console versions and the PC version.

It's suppose to come out June 5th here in the U.S so I'm still waiting for it to come out here.
 
I LOVED the Tom Raider games until Legend came out. I play them on my PC and it pissed me off soooooooooo much when I bought Legend and found out they changed the controls! I absolutely HATE the way the PC controls are set up now and would like to buy Anniversary, but I won't. Oh well, they're the ones losing $50! I still play the first 6 and enjoy them thouroughly!

Actually the game is cheap. It's $30 bucks. Also to the people in Europe they have a Special Collector's Edition which comes with a Soundtrack.
 
I never got into TR... but I'll get this when its released on Wii.

Obviously there's a lot more you can do now with all of Lara's new moves, and there seems to be a lot more focus on jumping up ledges and shimmying around cracks, which can be cool at times, but a bit tedious at others.
The combat is actually quite fun and the boss fights are more interesting than just 'run and shoot til dead'.

Still got so much to unlock though, so I can see myself playing for a while :P

Let me guess took you 2 hours to beat? Is it shorter than Legends?
 
Well for 29 dollars you can't go wrong for a game like this. Also I loved the first Tomb Raider game so I would think the remake would be better. But I guess like some gamers say when they play remakes. "You can never beat the original, the original is always the best"
 
You know it would be great if they rebooted Tomb Raider II and III also. II is by far my all time favorite Tomb Raider game.

And am I the only one who actually kinda liked AoD? The gameplay left a lot to be desired but I thought the plot was quite engrossing.
