God. I can't ever fall out of love with this woman. Her music can always cut me to the core. Hearing her songs are like looking at photo albums of my life. Songs can always can always take me back to that time and place.

Interesting she got started early playing in gay bars when she was thirteen with her dad who was a Methodist minister chapperoning her.

Anyway, her new boxset is simply amazing. The first cd is a remastered version of Little Earthquakes with songs that were originally slated to be on it added. The rest is filled with Remixed and Remastered songs. Songs that never have been released from the era of each of her albums. Bsides.

It has a cool biography booklet. With her own commentary about each of the albums and certain songs. I got mine from Barnes and Noble which comes with a very interesting interview DVD.

Highlights.
The whole Little Earthquakes disc especially Flying Dutchman Alternate Mix
Not David Bowie
Take Me With You
Dolphin Song
Doughnut Song Remixed Version
Playboy Mommy demo
A sort of Fairytale demo.

I have loved everything she has done. I even loved the Beekeeper which divided her fan base probably more than any of her records.

Who else round these parts loves this woman?

Okay finding this thread encouraged me to join this forum lol

I love tori amos, I met her last year when she toured Australia!
I just got my boxset today, it looks amazing, and sounds even more amazing. I'm so happy!
Walk to Dublin is :sex:

I love the boxset. I had no idea it was going to be so well put together. I hope her and her crew are nominated for a Grammy for the package design.

hell yeah, they should. Believe it or not though, people on some of the Tori forums are complaining about the packaging. So frustrating.

I'm obsessed with Walk to Dublin - Do a Jig!

well the Tori community is full of crying little bitches. They want the woman to bleed for them. And believe me she goes above and beyond to please her fans, and they bitch about that. but, you can't please everyone. there is one person who states she is not going to buy the boxset. but she has bitched and bitched about the whole thing. bitched about the biography that was written in the booklet that she hasn't even laid eyes upon. bitched about the way songs have been remixed or remastered that she hasn't even heard. i mean i could understand if you had read the biography or heard the song and disliked it. but, she hasn't. and complains her albums are too long. but when an 86 track boxset comes out, complains there are too many missing tracks.

yeah i have met the woman a few times. she is absolutely stunning up close. she has these electric greenish blue eyes. and she holds your hand and looks you in the eye and treats you as if you were the most important person in the world. lots of times she will remember you from another tour or show and what you talked about and many people she knows on a first name basis. the lady does meet and greets before each of her shows and after many of them. and she gets so much shit. and she handles it gracefully.

enough of the rant. the boxset is amazing. i can't wait until the new album and tour.

I preordered it from B&N and am desperately waiting for it to arrive. Frickin Canada Post. You're so lucky to have met her too..

BTW she's the BOMB live. I have at least 30gb of live bootlegs on my hard disk and suffice to say, I never get tired of listening to her.

however i did NOT like the beekeeper :P

I preordered the colletion....I'm really looking forward to it. So far I've listened to "Not David Bowie" and "Zero Point" (leaks, you know ;) )...

*gg* well, I've only listened to those 2 songs...As I said, I've preordered the collection, I hope I have it next week :)

there should be more Tori love round these parts.

she love teh gheys. i mean she started off playing in gay bars.
