Someone might want to inform me what this song is supposed to be really be about then? Just watched the music video and am a bit lost.

Thanks.

Just about every gay person I know loves this song.... this thread just made me go and play the Nikki French version :)

It's about Jim Steinman taking a weird turn of phrase, writing a song around it, and then producing the everloving shit out of it. All of his songs sounds like everybody in town was asked to add guitar, drums, strings, hand claps, sleighbells, percussion, or backing vocals. "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" by Air Supply? "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" by Meatloaf? "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" by Celine Dion? All his work.

I like Nikki French's version better. I've listened to a few times this week, coincidentally.

yay, I helped

Anyways, I love this song, this song and After Forever's cover of Heart's "Alone" are totally my *dramatic* songs - for some reason I love listening to them when I'm alone walking home drunk after a night of partying :D
