tv guide: luke and noah are fav. couple on all of soaps

Yeah but if you watch soaps (I watch six of the eight on the air), you'll know that there is no rooting factor for any of these sad, tortured couples on daytime :(

Pretty soon Luke and Noah will be just as miserable as Jack and Katie, Victor and Nikki, Todd and Blair, etc. :)

i really dont even watch soaps but i just thought it was interesting that a gay couple was so popular with the daytime crowd. but no offense, luke and noah are decent looking guys but they are not nearly as hot as the major hunks on soaps. you think people would be as supportive if the major hotties were gay?
 
I don't know, aijalon. The looks thing doesn't matter to me. Granted, I did create a pic homage to the hottest guys on "As The World Turns" on my http://www.myspace.com/iluvdaytimedramas page ... only one pic is of Van Hansis (Luke) the other 100 million are of Grayson McCouch (Dusty) and Austin Peck (Brad) :)

I think if the writing's good and realisitc and not over-cliched, everything will work out. Luke Snyder's lineage is interesting, though: His mom fell in love with his (adopted) father Holden way back in 1985 and, amid a million breaks ups and divorces, Holden and Lily are still together to this date so maybe the monogamy gene is intact in him. I'm not sure how many women his biological father Damian Grimaldi has been with over there in Amalfi :)

I think part of their attraction is they can actually act-most of the time.
 
"As The World Turns" is unusual for a soap, in that there are some really good actors and actresses on the show (Hello, Maura, Liz, Colleen and Trent). Unfortunately, when most people think of soaps, they think of atrocious, scenery-chewing hams like Ronn Moss (Ridge, B&B) , Drake Hogestyn (John, DOOL) and Susan Lucci (Erica, AMC).
 
If CBS continues showing Nuke only 1 day per week like they did this past week, they're not going to be favorites for very long.

The magazine's been around since the early 1950's. Hello.

In 2005 it underwent some re-structuring and went from a 5"x7" digest to a full scale 8" x 11" magazine.

Go into any grocery store, get in line and good ol' TV Guide is right there every single week.
