Anyone ever watch the show Twin Peaks or the movie that soon followed Fire Walk With Me?

It tried to answer that season long question of WHO KILLED LAURA PALMER?

I really enjoyed the series a lot and was often very very scared of some scenes. In fact some of the scenes even scare me today(the one where Sara walks in Laura's bedroom and sees BOB hiding behind the bed, ahhhhhhhh:eek: ). BOB gave me many nightmares as a kid and he is so scary even today. The guy just absolutely freaks me out..I heard the actor who played him died in real life(Frank Silva).

Anyway the movie is even more scary, especially the train car scene, ahhhhhhhhhhh

Anyway, loved the show, just thought Id share ..|

I missed it when it originally aired on TV. A friend lent me his copies of every episode a few years later. I watched from the first episode to the last without stopping. I was blown away.

The town where some of the pilot was filmed is about an hour or so outside Seattle. I went to the diner for coffee and pie. It wasn't very good coffee or pie, but that's not really the point. It was a a lot of fun. Every time I drive out that way I stop for coffee and pie.

But yes...Bob was scary as hell. The actors who played Laura's parents (Ray Wise and Grace Zabriskie) were fantastic. Great, great acting and story all around. Kinda ran out of steam towards the end, but it was still entertaining.

Yup... watched both the series (the second season came on while I was a Freshmen in college) and the movie... which I think was lacking. Supposedly David Lynch shot more than 4 hours worth of movie... but used only about two in the movie. Maybe we'll see some of that footage someday.

Oh yeah, I also bought Laura Palmer's Diary book and the Guide to Twin Peaks book (the latter was like a Michelin guide book to the town). Some interesting stuff there. I guess that's where Lost got some of their ideas for non-television tie-ins for a shows with too many unanswered questions.

remember David Ducovny of XFiles was in Twin Peaks. I think he played a transvestite FBI agent or cop.

I thought that David Lynch was far more interested in how things looked in TWin Peaks than in presenting a story that made sense. Twin Peaks had everyone watching it at one point, like Lost does now.

I think XFiles owes most of how it looked to Twin Peaks.

I didn't bother with it when it aired cause I thought it was just going to be another prime time soap, but a friend got we to watch it on video a few years back and I was hooked. Scary, funny, dramatic, but always intensely interesting.

There was a cassette released back in the day called "Diane. . . The Twin Peaks Tapes of Agent Cooper" that featured all his recordings from the show plus even more recorded for the tape. If you can find a copy, I recommend it.

I got the Artisian release of the first season when it came out on DVD and have been impatiently waiting for the rest of the show. I heard that Paramount is working on releasing the second season to DVD this November.

Damn good cup of coffee.

I love Twin Peaks. I was too young when it first aired on tv, but I am a big David Lynch fan so I bought the DVD box set of season 1 and the film Fire Walk With Me. It was a great show and I loved all the quirky Lynch-esque characters.
I agree with BenBrowdersArse. They are taking lost way too far. It's getting a bit silly now and people will begin to loose interest. At some points, they appear to be making it up as they go along.

I loved Twin Peaks! Season 1 was especially great. I also enjoy the soundtracks from Twin Peaks and Fire Walk With Me. Julee Cruise has an amazing voice and Angelo Badalamenti's score was haunting.

Twin Peaks - now there's a trip down memory lane:p

Loved the soundtrack and the amazing single "Falling" by Juliee Cruise.
I can't remember the characters name but I loved the "Log - lady" - as for the movie is was like a bad acid trip, I didn't think it matched up to the t.v. programme, Lynch really went for over the top dark humour, but I found it uncomfortable viewing.

"Twin Peaks" was way ahead of its time -- and probably wouldn't even make it past the pilot nowadays. It's just too cerebral, and as anyone with half a brain knows, the progressive dumbing-down of the American populace by the current regime would nullify the success of any television program that challenges viewers to exercise their intellects and imagination.

I was a huge fan, and loved the movie, "Fire Walk With Me," which elaborated on a lot of the themes introduced by the television show. I pretty much eat up anything David Lynch does -- his vision and creativity is just fucking genius.

The episode where Leland Palmer murdered Laura Palmer's doppelganger cousin Madeleine was, and still is imo, one of the most graphically violent and disturbing moments in television history.

The cinematography and the score for Madeline's demise really was scary. I was actually trying to hide in my chair during that scene! :D

Total landmark series. I think it was the first time that a TV show actually looked like a movie you'd see in a theater -- pretty common these days since the technology is so advanced. I loved watching it just for the cinematography alone.

Not to mention the themes, styles, characters . . . way ahead of its time.

BTW, does anyone else out there think the movie sequel "Fire Walk with Me" is vastly underrated? First time I saw it I thought "bleh", but I kept revisting it on video, now I can't watch it anymore cause it'll give me nightmares.

I am going to have to add Fire Walk With Me to my Netflix account. I remember loving it, but forgot all about it. Withing the past several months, I did watch season one of Twin Peaks, it was great watching it again!

I was too young when it was aired on TV...but I bought the book (Diary of Laura Palmer) and the first season on DVD..the only problem - the second season hasn't been released yet - I've been waiting for it for more than 3 years now :(

Twin Peaks and the movie Fire Walk With Me really scared me. David Lynch is one of my favorite directors.

Twin Peaks season two delayed yet again ---

September 18th 2006 Moviehole Reports Twin Peaks Season 2 DVD in May 2007 Today Moviehole announced that Twin Peaks Season 2 has been delayed to 2007. This all makes perfect sense, as Lynch has not even begun to do the transfers. Figure the earliest he would be able to begin would be sometime in November when INLAND EMPIRE should be distributed worldwide. Keep in mind that 20+ hours of Twin Peaks will take at least 2-3 months to do the audio and video transfers, color timing, and new 5.1 mixes, plus manufacturing times, and May 2007 sounds just about right. Hopefully Angelo will still be releasing the Season 2 Soundtrack at the end of 2006 to hold us over. Once again, if Paramount was smart, they would have had these episodes transferred well before the rights reverted to them in November of 2005.
