I'm ready to embrace big brother, put CCTV everywhere, I've got nothing to hide (like they always tell black people about stop n frisk). I care more about safety than privacy, I read a story once about a girl who was kidnapped in an Asian country, maybe China, and she was home/perp was in jail by dinnertime cuz everything everywhere is on camera with facial recognition. i'm ALL THE WAY DOWN with big brother, read my emails too i don't give a phuck, it's always been a red flag for me when people are worried about surveillance, I'm sure for some it's just entitlement and the fear of being treated how minorities are regularly treated, the "principle," but for others, what the phuck are you doing that you're so concerned about the government or law enforcement seeing?
When are we going to stop living like serfs and have a modern security grid where people can't just snatch human beings left and right and law enforcement just goes "DURRRR, ME NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED" and they have to do 4 years of legal wrangling and subpoenas to get the security footage. By then the serial killer done moved states, married, settled down and changed his life.
