Two Men in Mexico

It was an interesting watch. The discussion of fears and anxieties was unexpected.

They seem like a new couple. That much doting would feel oppressive to me, so I guess my age is showing.

The views are gorgeous, but it's hard to not think of the ever-present insects and humidity and heat. I would hate to vacation where sweating would be necessary, every day, with no cooling. I grew up in the South and always hated the heat.

If the electricity were reliable, I'd consider it IF there were fans and screens. The lizards and snakes and crabs would be ok, but not the bugs. They had ants on the table as they ate. The lights would absolutely attract a swarm at night, so imagine how unrestful that would be.

It's not germophobia, either. It's just the annoyance. That said, you can obviously get malaria, Chagas disease, etc., from the six-legged visitors.

The videography was beautiful, the drone footage especially so.

I also grew up in the southern USA and had my fill of sweltering heat and insect armies. The scenes where they guys are heading to bed really creeped me out. My parents used to send me to summer camp in the 1960's and every night I had to sweep out the spiders that built webs all around the bunk house. My worry was what would creep in while everyone was asleep!

These two men are very loving towards each other, personally the living conditions would get on my nerves fast. Living with nature is not something I dream about. I'm tied to insect-free and temperature controlled living, otherwise I become the Incredible Hulk and crush everything. At least have access to a scooter to go grocery shopping and run a few errands to town!

I was surprised to not see the couple even have access to a rolling cart to carry purchases home, but then again, it was across sand and along a trail in the jungle. I imagine they are staying a lot longer than the average guests, though. After all, if the electricity is that spotty, what good is a refrigerator for anything more than a day's supply?

As to the bugs, I'm reminded of my boyfriend in Alaska, who was all for hiking, camping, and extended stays in the bush, but he was averse to living in the lower 48 because he feared roaches. ;)

And how about that house, or whatever you'd call their living area.
Now that's not just watching a storm roll in, that's being in it. The original, "Gone with the Wind".

headed to Mexico in a few weeks---camping is not for me---nor are those 2 gay dudes. I prefer a cute Mexican dude and a 5 star hotel.:p

Talk about open concept. A person has to be 'one' with nature to enjoy living in a house like that.

Adorable couple but no thanks on the living arrangements or location.

My husband's sister and parents moved to Central America some years back - not a fan of jungles though I love the ocean but already live close to it so I am good.

^ From their other videos, they seem to enjoy the jungle life, but I suspect that YouTube is the main source of their income.

They remind me of the couples who make gay porn.

I am glad they are so happy together, even if I'm not a big fan of the podcastian life forms.
