This is is great day for free (libre) open source software. Hopefully, thanks to the developers of ubuntu, many more people will now get the opportunity to see the the quality, value and advantage that using open source software offers. The fact that ubuntu and other open source software is free (as in beer) is not what make it so great. It's the FREEDOM that the software provides to its users and developers that is so great.

I'm currently getting 879 KB/s on with the official torrent.

I download WINE just to run WinAmp Pro

A little quirky but works OK.

Seems like WinAmp would make one for Linux

Thanks I used his second two suggestions and it is noticeably faster. I didn't use the old Firefox tweak because that has never helped me much.
