This video perfectly encapsulates the tightrope black people have to walk every day in a white country. As this drunken racist assaults her the MOST she can do is defend herself BUT she has to do it without causing a single scratch cuz then she'll be labeled "the violent aggressor who overreacted when she could've walked away." Note the poise and grace as the victim even helps her attacker when she starts to fall. That's who we are, that's what doesn't get broadcast as much/often as the trash cans on fire during BLM protests-- the Ghandi-like patience we have to employ the moment we walk out the door, it's fucking exhausting sometimes.
The only thing I'm waiting for is a black boyfriend to come to her defense, there's almost always a black boyfriend.
