This statement is incorrect.with oral the only way to get something like hiv is if there is a break in the skin in your mouth and it comes in to contact with sperm or secretions
This statement is incorrect.
While having poor oral health increases the risk of HIV transmission there are documented cases of transmission of HIV by oral sex to people who had no oral health problems at the time.
Depends on what kind of risk you're thinking of?
If you're talking about regular STIs then yes it's risky - you can contract several types of STIs from unprotected oral sex.
If you're talking about HIV then it's a different ball game - it all depends on whether or not you have any gum disease, or any other ways in - if you brush your teeth before oral sex apparently you increase your chances of acquiring something including HIV. But it also depends on the level of the viral load of the HIV+ person. The rates of contraction of HIV from oral sex is extremely small but other STIs are easier to catch.
Overall you can contract any number of STIs from unprotected oral sex - including HIV - but it all depends on a lot of different factors.
Dude why don't you just have sex with people you know? I've never gotten an STD because I don't do random hookups. I don't understand why a lot of gay men want to whore themselves around so much. While this method does not guarantee disease free sex, it will reduce the chances of catching something.
I'm really shocked that people are still asking these questions. I thought most people knew these kinds of things. What are they teaching (or not teaching) in schools and at home these days?
