Holy Cow.......

Utah 31, Alabama 17 in the Sugar Bowl.

Second win for Utah a BSC Bowl Game..... and we are in a non BCS conference...

About time for College football to get serious about a playoff system.

Damned fine game all around.

congrats! my only interest in the gm was JPW

LOL

ur right about a playoff

Yeah, well he is one hell of a handsome guy. And if he were playing against anyother team I'd have been rooting for him.
Hell, I once bought a car from a guy cause he was so damend cute. !oops!

i was surprised that utah won the game, actually kind of rooting for them since a friend graduated from there. i really believe it's time for a play off system...i've never been a fan of the BCS system.

Congrats to the Utes! I can't imagine many BCS schools have 2 wins in BCS bowls, let alone a non-BCS team. Hope Kyle Whittingham sticks aound for a while.

Guys, if you want, we can invite JPW and the loser of Tebow/Bradford over next weekend to make them feel better. lol

This was not an upset, though. Alabama played in a weak conference (you heard that right) and Utah actually beat some decent non-conf foes, which NOOOO team in the SEC except Florida did. Utah even has more bowl experience lately than Bama, which has been a very down program since the 80s.

They only got into that game by pulling a Notre Dame. On the bright side, at least the Irish won, so I don't have to be embarrassed when I wear my Irish shirts on some days for next year.

though the Mtn West is better than the Big East and ACC.

You have that right uofaguy7.... I wish you were in charge of the whole BCS deal...
seems the MTn West would get a fair shake then... (*8*)

Nice of you to comment though. Actually I was suprised at the number of recent columns from national sports writers that agree with you.
There are teams in the WAC (well at least one) and a couple from the Mountain West (BYU, Utah, maybe Air Force) that could compete quite easily in the Big East or ACC. But living in the Rocky Mountain states we don't have a huge population, so we don't get the national exposure that the teams from the east and midwest get.
Times will change though, at least I hope so.
And why are the Irish from ND always in the running.. Hell, they haven't had a great team for a while...
anyway man, thanks for your comments.
:D

Another reason why the BCS system stinks There needs to be some changes to it. If a team like Utah who has demonstrated several undefeated records cant even catch a break , then why are teams like ND even still in the running ?

they ought to add Boise and maybe Hawaii (or Rutgers or Boston College lol) so there will be no real argument why they don't get an automatic bid (other than the last couple of BCS commissioners have been from the Big East and ACC)
