Well it's about 2 am which is not unusual for me but I haven't drifted off to sleep yet. I'm about 3 months into my Hepatitis C treatment, which is a form of self administered chemotherapy. I give myself a shot of poison (Peglated Interferon) once a week and take 6 antiviral capsules a day. The course of treatment, if successful is 18 months. So I've got 15 to go. I've been through this before so it's not new to me. However I'm having a better time of it so far. I was even working up until a bout a week ago. Kinda' glad that struggle is over with. I have a doctors' assistant that monitors my progress and I have regular blood labs and they keep a close eye on other stuff too. My baseline viral load before starting treatment was over 10 million. On my first check after starting treatment it was 6,677,000. So it's coming down. Got another check next month.
