Upgrading from an iPhone 4 to a 4s... Worth it?

Is all the hype about the iPhone 4s just a big show? I mean besides the minor improvements and Siri, I don't see a speed difference when comparing my 4 to my mother's 4s. So is it worth the upgrade or should I just wait until the iPhone 5 comes out?

Yeah but I'm really a sucker for new technology! I just need a few jubbers to convince me otherwise before I go spend my money on it, lol.
 
For my money, wait for the 5. Or sneak in and swap SIMs with your mother's phone and see if she notices...
 
I'm waiting for a 5 myself.

In your case, if you use your phone to take all the pix you're posting in the other thread, then yeah the extra 3 megapixels is totally worth it. Buy one now! :twisted:

The next one coming out will be the iPhone 6, actually. It's the sixth entry coming. :X

But, yeah, don't get the iPhone 4S. Just wait until later this year for the next version that will be redesigned, and not just have an upgraded camera, essentially....
 
A lot of people outside the US are saying wait because the iPhone is so expensive there because it is sold separately from the plan.

But if you're from the US, just buy both phones.

The phone in the US is just as expensive without a plan!

I changed my backglass for a yellow one to keep myself interested in it until the 5 comes out, lol
 
Save your money- They look the same, feel the same, and the update- You'll never notice. Wait for the next iphone. Jailbreak it if you are bord.
 
If you have a iPhone 4 just hang on and wait for it. As for me, I wanted to drop my old Droid 1 in favor of an iphone 4S; I don't think I could wait until next year for the upgrade.
 
I had a 4 and upgraded to 4S do not see much any difference, but I am in China with trips to Thailand and Siri does not really work here - when I ask for example where is a hotel - the answer is sorry I do not work in China and same response in Thailand.
I do not see much any difference between the speed and I still take lousy pics on the cam!
I will be home in USA soon so will see what siri can do
The unlocked phone price in Thailand is about what it is if you buy from Apple in USA.

Besides the fact that it's a new processor, is the speed actually any better in your opinion? And I live in Canada so Siri location doesn't work here
 
I heard that it eats up a lot of data and for someone like me who was not lucky to have unlimited data I think I would be eating up more bandwidth, I am waiting until iPhone 5 comes out.
 
Gods above. I still use the cell phone I received on new year's eve 2005 and a desktop pc and minilaptop I've had for a few years. So here's one question to all those tech freaks who constantly upgrade expensive toys: do you also replace your dishwasher or laundry machines every two years? Just saying.
