I have an emachines w3619 and the video card in my computer is going out

thinking about buying this [ame="http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Passive-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B004KABG22/ref=sr_1_147?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1303324040&sr=1-147"]Amazon.com: EVGA GeForce 210 Passive 512MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card - 3 Year Limited Warranty 512-P3-1311-KR: Computers & Accessories[/ame]

Here's is computer specs http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...CbItATWpGoj6eu9uQ&sig2=pZ6K1NutomGqLOo4ZpWpTw

I'l already upgraded the ram form 512mb to 1.5gb

I think that should be fine, I had a look at your PC, I belive the PCI express slot to be a 2.0 which means the graphics card you have chosen will run at full speed, but if your slot is a 1.0 PCI express you might have some problems.

what sort of budget are you looking at and what do you want a graphics card for? let me know and I might be able to pick a more suitable one for your needs.

Expansion Slot(s)
2.0 (total) / 1.0 (free) x PCI Express x1 - LGA775 Socket,
1.0 (total) / 0.0 (free) x PCI - DIMM 240-pin,
1.0 (total) / 1.0 (free) x Memory,
1.0 (total) / 1.0 (free) x PCI Express x16,
2.0 (total) / 1.0 (free) x Processor

I assume this means you have one slot at 2.0 and one at 1.0

Make sure you put it in correct slot if you do go ahead with that card

I'm not really a huge expert when it comes to upgrading video cards. But make sure that your power supply is powerful enough to support it or else your machine will not be able to handle the power of the card.

I've been wanting to upgrade my video card too but the problem I have is I don't know if I can with my power supply, and I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to adding shit onto the computer. I should of took more classes where one needed to installed a power supply or video card. :( They probably did go over it but I must of been missing from class that day.

Best way to find out gamerbear is to wack it in, if not enough power your PC will let you know by it either not working or it shutting down. You probably have enough, generally your PSU is more than you need to allow for expansion (Generally). If you find it doesn't work, you just need to buy a new PSU, you can pick one up for not a great deal of money.

It's just I see these cards that would work on my PC but when I read the required power supply I look at mine and I am definitely needing to upgrade the Power supply.
