US Attack on Venezuela [SPLIT]

It isn't worth a lot.

Trump is bragging about the millions of barrels of oil he's stolen this morning.

The US is no different than rrrZZia.

Imperialist thugs.

And again...they are just saying it all out loud now.

The US under Trump is no longer trying to pretty up its wars of adventure.

It is purely about taking what the US wants.

oops.

By the way, it is most likely that the Venezuala invasion and theft was part of the 'agreement' between the US and the Kremlin whereby rrrZZia would withdraw from Venezuala and the northern west hemisphere
in exchange for Trump withdrawing US support for Ukraine and leaving the Putin oligarchs control over the resources they have stolen in the Donbas and south west of Ukraine.

So let's see what Tillis and the other 'concerned' GQP Senators do to protect their own standing as a co-equal branch of government with the only constitutional powers to declare war.

The Senate vote today will absolutely define TrumpCo's next steps regarding invading and seizing territories without Congressional approval or actual oversight.

Not a big surprise that the Senate wouldn't even advance the legislation to a vote.

Chicken shits all.

It will be no surprise when Trump take out the current leader of Venezuala as well as Maduro.

Because, by all accounts, she is also a regime extremist.

Leaving her in place was also a tactical move by the US. They have her boxed in and are likely hoping that she organizes an armed resistance against the US invasion that will allow the US to declare
war.

OR failing that, will be the pretext they need to send in troops to occupy the country.

Unlike Iraq, the mountains and jungles will prove a formidable battleground.

And one other refresh of the question I posed previously on China's role in Venezuala and as a trigger for the invasion and seizure by the US.

China is the big loser in this gambit. I have no doubt their oil company investments will be protected under law, but this move by the US is seen as closing the door on China's influence in central America.

And this article quatifies how much China has invested in and taken out of Venezuala.

As I keep noting, I beleive that the US has sent signals to China that the Asian Pacific can be their playground, as well as Africa and I doubt that the US will lift a finger for Taiwan when the PRC now move to
seize it.

Not a big surprise that the Senate wouldn't even advance the legislation to a vote.

I must retract.

The Senate did take up a bi-partisan measure to put restrictions on TrumpCo.'s war of adventure in Venezuala.

The procedural motion Thursday sets up a full Senate vote on the measure next week; that will also require a simple majority and is expected to pass. It is subject to House approval and a presidential signature, making it unlikely to become law. But it sends a significant message to Trump that could impact his foreign policy moves going forward — in Venezuela and other countries.

“To my Senate colleagues: Enough is enough,” Kaine said. “You were sent here to have courage and to stand up for your constituents. That means no war without a debate and vote in Congress.”

After Trumps interview with the NYT I’d say we now know the major oil companies price to return to Venezuela which is a security guarantee backed by some level of presence by the US military. That presence may only be around the land the oil companies are drilling and living on but they will hold out for that guarantee and Trump will give it to them because otherwise he’s stuck.

And they must be compensated for loss of property.

The funny thing is that the courts had ruled on the settlement.

Now watch Trump stiff most of them while he steals the oil.

I looked to see if this had already been posted on JUB but I couldn't find a reference to it.

There are a number of people who have been foreseeing the future for us and what they were saying just seemed too extreme to be plausible. Turns out that they have been largely on-the-mark. Anne Applebaum has, in particular, been very insightful with her knowledge of history and her experience in Poland when illiberal autocrats got back into power there.

Anne Applebaum pointed out that during Congressional hearings in 2019, Fiona Hill testified that Putin and Trump had been discussing an swap of Ukraine and Venezuela.

The Russians were pushing this "swap" idea so vigorously that John Bolton sent Hill to Russia to personally deliver the message to them to "knock it off".

Russia. Russia. Russia. That question still has never been really answered, has it?

I posted about this as well.

I am pretty sure that Trump and Vlad made a tacit agreement about this way back, with Trump being promised his cut on Ukraine.

Trump was likely counting on his second term at that point when he would 'bring peace' to Ukraine and likely start the process of chasing after Venezuala and Greenland which he was pursuing in his first term.

This is one of the reasons why I maintain that the monroe Doctrine stuff was already embedded in the Project 2025 and Stephen Miller vision for fortress America.

The only tactical error in the first year of Trump V2.0 was that the US went after Mexico and Canada with a pretext to invade because of Fentanyl...which of course in Canada's case was imaginary and when the risk assessment for invading Mexico indicated that the war would be brought to both sides of the border, TrumpCo. backed off. But only temporarily.

Renaming the Gulf of Mexico was no quixotic Trump fancy. The US powers behind the throne want no doubt that the US will totally control the Gulf and all resources in it. Period.

And they will use the same 'War on Drugs' 'Police Action' doublespeak logic as pretext again since it has worked in Venezuala.
