Hopefully Democratic balls won't be in Obama's hands. It's kind of useful when our House of Representatives actually represent their constituents rather than enjoy fondling by the President.

It's revealing to me that the Democrats I know here who are just ordinary people see this bill the same way the opposition votes in the House did: too full of pork, too full of irrelevancies.

I doubt our Founding Fathers conceived of Congress getting so far removed from the ordinary citizen. They're like the Roman Senate prior to Empire, playing their power games with no regard whatsoever for the folks back home.

The Democrats who voted for this bill demonstrated that at the top, the 'Democratic' Party is about special interests and ideology, not about people. They're Idiocrats, people who believe in their own special world and what's in it, and not in reality.
