Tomorrow (Sunday, September 3) will be packed with make up matches from today's rainout.

We'll see which contenders emerge in triumph :king:

Hazemaster, if the USO does not end soon, I will run out of food, clean clothes and cash. Man the hours I spend in front of this TV.

What did I think of the Agassi/ Bagdadis match, ....well .. I did watch it three times. The whole thing. God I love this sport. Thanks to my PVR ( personal TV recorder) I have tapes of everything touching Tennis during these weeks.

I think Andre will bow out today, although, I hope.... naw, this will be his last.

The finals? I see Roger Fed & Nadal, it just has to be..

But man, what a great crop of young guys coming up, no?

i'm really upset about hingis...i hope she's able to bounce back....

anyway, does anyone keep track of bjorn phau...he's a german player..but he's half indonesian....he's the hottest (as in sexiest) guy on tour..imo...and i saw feliciano practicing with rafa, and he has the nicest body..too bad he has a gf =/

That was Agassi's last hurrah. The crowd stood on it's feet cheering for over 10 minutes as Agassi's emotions poured out. What a great ending speech he gave and a wonderful 21 years he has given to the sport.

Benjamin Becker looks pretty good. I've never seen him before. I do hope for another Federrer vs Nadal finals or Roddick making it to the end. For the women I'm rooting for Mauresmo even though she's hurt.

I believe Blake can go all the way. He beat Nadal last year and has won over Roddick a few times. He has a great chance of making it to the finals.

Farewell Andre. He has been an ornament to the game.... a great ambassador. His emotional farewell speech was very moving, and I, like many millions around the globe will miss his good-mannered professionalism.

Funny how Andre morphed from an unlikeable character (IMO) "image is everything" phase to father/husband/solid citizen. I really respect his dedication to the game. These days, lasting as long as he did (20+ years) is amazing. Too bad about today, but it doesn't change the fact that he was one of the top players ever who won on ALL surfaces - grass, hard court and clay.

Will definately miss him

Alot of people are upset because Martina is not serious about the so called comeback, she needs to get her act together or go back to riding horses, im not being harsh but its the reality.

She cannot continue playing like crap.

So many people love her and want her to be successful but she keeps dissappointing us.

How many people have to tell her that she needs to work on her serve and use her all court game instead of trying to hit pound for pound with the ower hitters.

She needs to get serious.

If you actually watched her play and looked at her results -- especially considering she's 25 and lacks major power and a decent serve -- you'd see that her comeback has been quite successful -- particularily if you focus on the fact that she's risen to #9 in the world. From what I've heard, her loss to Virginie Razzano was her first loss this year to someone ranked outside of the top 25. I don't actually like Hingis but I can admit that her comeback has been a success. She's definitely not going to rise back to #1 or become a consistent threat to win a major.

Just because Martina had a couple losses at Wimbledon and here at the US Open doesn't mean she's not serious about her comeback, or not working on parts of her game that need improvement. Having been fortunate enough to watch her play both before and after her retirement, I can say she has definitely beefed up many parts of her game, including her serve and fitness. That is also reflected in the fact that her first service percentage is usually much lower than what it used to be. In the late 90s / 2000 era, Martina would play matches and have a 95% first serve stat, because she was just spinning it in. Unfortunately, she will probably never have a serve like the Williams sisters, or even like Hennin-Hardenne. In any case, I think she has done extremely well this year, considering how long she's been away from the game, and how much more physical the overall level of play is. I was also fortunate enough to have courtside tickets to Louis Armstrong the day Martina's first round match was played, and I can say it was very entertaining, and she had to work extremely hard against a talented first round opponent.

There has been lots of good tennis today. I was happy to see Davydenko come through. He plays the sort of tennis I like to watch. Safin-Haas was a cliff-hanger and the best man did win. James Blake is playing very well and it would be a twist if he took out Federer and took on Andy in the final. Even though Nadal was far from his best, Youzhny was spectacular and will be a good match for the higher ranked players in the days to come. One should not underestimate Hewitt but one never knows how he is going to come out. I saw him play this year on successive days matches of astonishingly different quality. He does have a talent for getting irritating A-Rod. Will there be another 10-minute bathroom break?

Interesting times are ahead in the next few days.

Davenport lost. Nadal lost. If only Mauresmo and Blake could have lost, too. I would have been crying tears of joy.

Sharapova sure made her sponsors proud today....I wonder what would happen if Roddick won. For sure the JUB forums would go crazy.

Congrats Roger you really are the best.

Am i the only one that noticed how pronounced Rogers bulge was?

Andy wasnt bulging the way he usually does but he was showing alot of skin when he kept lifting up his shirt to wipe his face.
