So's, I was looking around yesterday and saw that a song from Utada's new English album, which will be released March 24 here in US, had been posted on Island Records website and I thought I'd put up a link to it so you Utada fans, and people that haven't heard of her, can hear it.
I think this is much better than anything that was on her previous English album Exodus.
As I'm going to be late for something if I don't hurry, here's it is:

I like one of her songs "Devil" but only a certain version. She is kind of cute.

That song as ok, but I liked the Double J Radio Mix version much better.

The song's that I really liked on her Exodus album were Wonder 'Bout, About Me and Kremlin Dusk. The rest were rather average, pretty forgettable or just not that great.

I wouldn't say a lot of people, unless you're talking about everyone that's heard her Simple & Clean and Sanctuary in the Kingdom Hearts games. She most likely is the most well known Asian artist here though.

Ditto. I couldn't stand the original Devil Inside, but the Scum Frog Radio Edit was good.
 
I haven't really listened to many of Utada's songs... Im a bit of a Crystal Kay person.

Maybe i should start since i only really listen to Japanese music...

Can anyone suggest an album/single to start off with?
 
i thought i was the only person on jub that liked her. i really cant wait for her new album. i have her ultra blue, heart station and exodus album. all of which are amazing!

i really cant wait for a music video.
 
Wow, this song is awsome, can't wait to hear the US release. I hope she has done English versions of 1 or 2 songs from her previous Japanese albums.
 
I love Simple and Clean, but she has SO much vibrato to her voice in a lot of her songs.. it gets annoying.

you should try listening to another artist called Kana... I seriously do not understand her or what she represents =/

I've had a listen to Deep River and i kinda like it - especially "Purei Boru" (Pure ball??? :confused:)
 
Utada's english works from Exodus were a lot different than her Japanese stuff at the time. But this song sounds like it could have fit in easily on her last Japanese album. It's kind of nice that she's coming into her own sound, and going with what she likes.
 
LOL I checked out the album and it's not "amazing" by any means, altho I do enjoy several guilty pleasure tracks like Come back to me, This one, Merry Xmas. The album is already done even before the CD comes out lol, releasing it digitally before the CD is bad bad move, and her live performances have been disappointing (and I'm being really nice by calling it "disappointing"). Well I'll have my benefit of doubt that her j-pop stuff is better.
 
I liked her River album and the song Hikari and Simple and Clean songs they used in Kingdom Hearts. But have not liked her recent stuff, but haven't heard her newest english album; I'll give it a try like I did with Boa's english album.

BTW, anyone give Boa's new album a listen; I think it's pretty good pop music although I don't think she'll perform well over here.
 
i love Utada Hikaru =] . but sadly the only songs i heard from her are Simple and Clean , Sanctuary

and this song Come back to me ( Haji & Emanuel Mix )

i will definitely hear her other albums
