when she did her solo stuff she sounded ALOT better. but when shes with the girls its different. her voice sounds older when shes with the group. her vabrato (i think thats the term not sure someone help me on that) is slower when she sings with the girls

Yeah, her vibrato is much different when she's singing with the Spice Girls (it's much narrower). Plus, I hate how she always sings in the lower register when with the Spice Girls. That's definitely not an impressive register to sing, unless you're Mariah. She should sing higher (like in the video) that will actually give her credibility. Her voice is pretty good; it's smooth.
 
I always liked her voice. I didn't understand why people criticized it when (IMO) Geri's was much worse.
 
WOW I LOVE IT!! Her solo work was always my fave. I love her album and listen to it quite alot actually. I wish it would have taken off like Mel C's or Geri's.

i've always like her for some reason. i do think her hubby is HIIIIIIIIIGHLY overrated though.
 
Good for her.. i am happy that this is out there for people to see that she can actually sing... everyone just gives her a hard time and bad mouths here. and this is proof that she can sing!

Not bad at all. I'm not really familiar with her work with the Spice Girls (I heard the hit songs when they first came out) so I can't really comment on the vibrato other than to say that she doens't really hold out any notes enough to give a good example.

There's something to be said for knowing your limitations and working with them. I'll take this over watching someone lip-synch any day.

go find some spice girls performances on youtube that are live and you can tell her vibrato is slow. but when she sings on her own its faster

I always thought she was a brainless Fembot until I saw some interviews and several documentaries with her.

Her sense of humor is actually really great. She doesn't take herself too seriously at all. So I didn't like her until I got to know her. Now I actually respect the bitch.
