Using VirtualDub, I cut some scenes from a DivX video. Now I want to save it in Xvid format. When I do so, the file size of the output is bigger than the original, full video
I leave the audio bitrate and format untouched, for Xvid I choose a bitrate of 700. The original file's video format is DivX5 at 995 kbps, audio is MP3, 44100Hz, 48kb/s.
Why does it bloat my output file although it has a shorter running time and a smaller video bitrate?
