Visits at the hotel

Ok guys,
it may seem a weird question but...
referring to Europe, is it allowed while staying at the hotel have someone visit you?

For example, you go oh holiday, you go clubbing, you find a very hot guy.. can you bring him back to your hotel to fuck and then he goes away? or do the Deskwoman makes you problems?
I see also escort ads, they say "visit at your hotel"..

Please tell me your experiences!

I'd assume it depends on the hotel. In my experience, though, I've only encountered the "no unregistered guests" rule at hostels and lower end hotels.

I have travelled throughout many European countries for work purposes and have never experienced an issue with the concierge when booking in an overnight sexual partner and without having to pay extra.

Here in Greece the cheaper end of the hotel market rents rooms by the hour and documentation is not required unless you intend to stay overnight.

Escorts or, rent boys merely request your room number when discussing terms over the telephone, walk past the concierge straight to your room without registering.

In some countries,Italy, for instance, a single room is tiny and miserable. On one group tour, all the singles were bathroom sized with a twin size bed. But in Venice I lucked out. My tiny single room was the only one in the group with a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. I suggest you pay for a double room.
