So I just shaved full body for the first time, and it's been about 2 or 3 days...and dear god my pubes/waist area is itching. I tried shaving again, but cut open some of the bumps that had formed, so now I'm itchy and bleeding. LOL

I can laugh now, but it's going to get to me eventually. How can I get rid of the bumps, and also alleviate the itchy?

And in the future, how can I use a razor better? I use disposable 2 blades because I heard they don't tug on the hairs, and cause less irritation than 1 or 3 bladed varieties.

Right now, all I can do is put Cetaphil Moisturizer down there every morning and night...

Is there a topic icon for "noob?" :)

What's a cheap way to get rid of body hair other than razor? Sheeesh...soooo itchy! :help:

Here is what I use and I have had no problem with itch when the hair starts to grow back out .I usePicture 002_edited.jpg I do use it on all parts !!!!

Unfortunately the itch is part and parcel of shaving your nether regions...I use VEET Hair Reomval Cream and have found that the itch is less severe but I still itch non the less

Gold Bond Medicated Powder relievs the itch, but not permanently. It goes away after a week or so.

If God wanted people to be smooth he would never have invented Puberty:D:D:D

Is it worth it just to be in fashion with everybody else? Totally boring!

exfoliate the area before you shave (gently!) and dont put any creams/moisturers on after you shave, if you need to use something then use talc/baby powder.

the "bumps" are in growing hairs, the hair follicle get clogged with dead skin & any creams/oils/after shaves you put on the area.
never shave unless you have at least an inch worth of hair, you'll make it worse and never shave irritated skin!

use razers specifically designed for the bikini area, they are smaller, more accurate and much gentler on the skin

waxing is quicker but the same rule applies to avoid in growing hairs, exfoliaite before-hand, dont cover the skin afterwards and exfoliate again the following day.

or you can use hair removal creams but be sure to get one specifically for the 'bikini' area! anything else is far too harsh, if your using a hair removal cream/mousse, do a patch test to make sure your not allergic.

golden rule, dont let the hair follicles get clogged! exfoliaters are your friend

trust me, I am a woman ;)
