  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

We the undersigned

Here I go again trying to be a voice of reason. They started flooding the boards, which fucks it up for all of us. Some one has to police this place against those who would mess it up for the rest of us. That's the thankless task that Seth, JD and the mods have. They are the police force in the neighbourhood. It's not as if they are banned for life, maybe a week, surely no big deal. They were allowed to be their normal provocative selves, and we expect that from them just as we do from James1200, it can be fun, but when they overstep the line by ruining it for everyone else someone has to step in. A month or so ago someone flooded the hot topics with hundreds of threads of gibberish like qyiteytyequiyir, we complained, the threads were removed and they got banned.

So sorry I will not sign, but I will welcome them back.

without homosexuals to treat like sex toys and dirty little secrets while dating women in public and voting for REpublicans, a bisexual will wither and die.

Happy now?

It's pretty much like hockey... The referee saw what he belives is a penalty. It could have been a penalty, it might not have but those who he saw are gonna have serve their time in the box.

We could spend weeks and weeks arguing over what the referee saw, but in the end it comes down to the fact the referee gets the final call.

Game on!

For me, I must have missed the action, so I'll catch the highlights on the recap show. I've not known the mods or admin of the site to penalize someone without cause. I'm going to defer to their knowledge of the situation until there is just cause to question it.

The term "Banned" is very confusing. It implies that the person is gone permanently and its taken me a while to understand that they are not. "Suspended" would make more sense.

What's it called when its permanent?

I'd have to agree that is confusing. The system allows up to a two-year temporary banning from JUB. So when you see "banned" you don't know whether it's permanent or temporary (though mods and admins do know). I agree though, it would be nice to have another word for the temporary bans. Though even some of the temp bans look permanent - for example in the case of a 17 year-old who gets a one year banning. One year is a long time!
