weight loss

I went on a soup diet in high shcool and lost 30 lbs. I had cereal for b'fast and chicken soups for lunch and dinner. And NO soft drinks. Just wate and juice.

When I weighed 260 I just started eating lean cuisine's in place of lunch and dinner. Also all the other food I ate was reduced fat or fat-free. I was also excersising three to four days a week, Billy's Bootcamp. In four short months I had lost 70 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!! It was amazing. I'm now at 190, still not happy with the way I look, but I feel alot better, hopefully the Hip Hop Abs will work.

weight lifting will help you lose more weight than cardio!! so keep doing it!!

as for everything else, you just need a good balanced diet, you need to be able to eat anything you want and not worry otherwise you will always relapse and go back to bad eating habbits.

first thing you need to do is raise your metabolisim, drink two liters of iced water a day (your body needs to heat this up so you actually burn calories while drinking it) and try to have a breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. more meals more often but smaller quantities will also help raise your metobolic rates.
its fine to have say a chocolate bar as a snack maybe once or twice a week, its fine to have that can of carbonated full sugar pop with your lunch every so often. if you put too many limits on what you can and cant have you'll never manage.

good luck mate, its hard work but well worth it!! (i dieted from 11stone almost to 8stone in 6 months)

Switching to a low-carb, high-protein diet would be good...And I don't mean crazy Atkins or that stuff which allows no carbs, just not processed or "heavy" carbs...

That's what I do ! I eat protein (meat, mainly poultry or fish -especially salmon !, eggs, milk and dairy products, soy etc...) and carbs in the forms of fruit, vegetables and whole-grain stuff (whole-grain bread, rice, pasta etc...but not as often as every day or anything ). It worked for me...Cutting out carbs completely isn't healthy...but if you take carbs from fruit & veggies it should be all-right.

I usually have the carbs earlier in the day and the protein later. Correction : I have protein with every meal (I always have milk, cheese, meat, eggs or soy in ANY meal ! It's not so hard to throw in !) BUT I mean that for breakfast I have mostly carbs like cereal (All Bran etc..) with milk ,so still protein but the main part being carbs, then for lunch usually a steak/fillet with vegetables and maybe some dark rice or whole-grain pasta (so less carbs compared to breakfast, cos now a big chunk of the meal is protein) and for dinner usually scrambled egg , maybe with some bacon or ham (so pretty much entirely protein)...

And as for working out, it wouldbe good to do both walking/jogging AND weights cos they have different benefits for you. But especially since you're trying to lose weigh you gotta do weights too to prevent losing muscle tissue along with the fat ! Cos if you don't, at some point you'll have lost so much muscle that you'll find it almost impossible to lose any more fat as muscles help burn fat.

Hope I helped ! :)
