I don't know if they took some clothes with them. But the place has about 3 tons of clothes when I found it.
It is not unusual for someone to disappear, there are a quarter of a million cases in Britain every year. Most are soon found again but some cases are never resolved.
We had a friend vanish and turn up in a German prison two years later. It must be a lot more common in such a big country as America.
