I'm gonna get the new Mariah and Whit albums this fall. Hope Whit can keep it together and put out a quality cd. I've yet to get Kelly Clarkson's latest. I hear it's good. What new albums are you guys amped up for?

I think all of my most anticipated albums already came out. Bjork, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Rilo Kiley, which I haven't stopped listening to since I got it. But I still have to pick up the new Go! Team that just came out.

It's been a really good year in music so far.

Well I don't even think that this will ever happen but I would love to see a collaborative effort by Quincy Jones with Anita Baker doing jazz standards, or new orginal ones. Each time I hear her voice I'm always comparing her with another jazz great, Sarah Vaughn. Anita's tone is slightly different but it has the same sort of range and timbre that Sarah Vaughns' voice had. I love you Anita and I'm sure more fans would like to hear you do some jazz standards with a killer producer like Quincy Jones.......sigh.....dream on I guess.

Siouxsie Sioux - Mantaray (I think its been released, but I'm not sure about the US)

US "official" release is October 2nd. Of course you can "preview" online now;)

if you would have asked this questions on monday i'd of answered Strawberry Jam by Animal Collective. had been "previewing" it all summer.

Yeah im gonna get the new mariah..i really rated The emanicapation of mimi and dont reacon she is gonna let her sucess fall again by releasing anything crap...i hear dido is releasing a new one so may invest in that and possibly carrie underwood

I'd be on board with this and it doesn't sound too far fetched. And, maybe Q could get Anita to sing in a way where people understand what the hell she's saying ;)

I was most looking forward to Ann Wilson's new cd, but the wait is over 'cuz it came out yesterday!! Well worth the wait.

I'll also agree with Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Missy Elliott! And, Dariusb...if you liked the progression from Kelly Clarkson's Thankful to Breakaway, I'd really recommend My December--it really takes the next step away from pop into a more rock sound.

Trisha Yearwood's new album on the Big Machine imprint will drop this fall. It includes her current top 30 country hit, "Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love." That's about the only thing that I'm really excited about.

Unless a new Shania Twain disc drops this fall. She seems to only release an album every five years and this November will be five years since "UP!" came out.
