What Are We Teaching Our Kids

You wouldn't believe what I hear from my grade ones!

It ranges from "Toliet licker" to "fucker" to "Lesbians" and socially ostrazsizing people who are poor or slower at learning.

Kids these day, sheesh....they are so manipulated into roles. One of my kids dances very provactively around the classroom and bends over delibrately in front of boys...she is only 5 years old!!

So yah,

but then...

in the 1800s, kids worked in mines as bomb layers...

so maybe, it's not all that bad
 
The parents don't seem to be teaching their kids one important thing: respect - for rules, authority, the land and mankind
 
It's a disgrace for I've read in the news that the parents of those boys actually said something like 'it was harmles'. OMG! Who in their right mind would have thought that was just some harmless fun! If parents start condoning such acts, then, I don't know....

The court should order a complete psychiatric profile of each of the families and the dynamics within the family. Their "history" and background should be thoroughly investigated by psychiatric social workers, specialists in working with teenagers, etc.

These parents and all the teenagers involved need to be held accountable for what has happened. And the court should also consider with dealing with these teens as adults.

Any and all legal and medical, psychological, parenting aspects of this case should be examined, and not just some sort of sentence to the boys involved and then a few years later they just walk away from everything.

This incident and case needs to be examined from all sides.

These kids probably only have one that take any interest at all, when they arent' exhausted from working to put food on the table or a roof over their head.
it's all tied to the demise of the two parent household.
 
Parents might have their fair share of blame too but sometimes I wonder if the kids themselves should have known better. I mean, look, there are heaps of kids out there with working parents or no parents or whatever who would still grow up and emerge as sensible kids. So.....just a thought.

I am horrified at what these teens did . I do believe that they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law ... BUT; we have Juvenile Courts for a reason ... to try "Juveniles" ..
I do hate the fact that as Juveniles ; they'd probably only serve 3-5 years in a detention center .. BUT; maybe while there , they could get some mental help and come out productive members of society.

These Western countries have press that have the freedom to report whaever atrocity or crime happens in their country. You hear reports of these crimes but it doesn't mean that they happen more only in Western countries. The media in other countries do not have a similar privilege of being free from government intervention, and so you hear less of similar crimes in those countries.

With regard to the thread starter, do you have sources or any internet news links for this?
 
If I were that girls father, I would have tracked them all down and beaten the hell out of them. This is one example which showes that in order to instill respect you have to beat it into the children, a 2x4 would have worked nicely.

I am not cocky but I will not let ANYONE reguardless of age race or gender disrespect me, my parents taught me better. I treat you with respect, you should do the same for me, if you dont, I will let you know quickly that you havent. These kids have no respect for themselves, or others, and I hope they rot in a jail cell as a consequence of their actions for a while.
 
Perhaps it might be a nicer world if we started from the point that we should assume everyone deserves respect until they do something to lose it.
