Well, if you have money to burn, you can buy the new Cadillac Celestiq.
All I want to know is how much would Cadillac charge for a good looking car?

More than a year ago, Cadillac announced a new model with a price tag north of $300,000. When a car is presented by it's price, that's a warning that something is about to go very wrong. Time will tell but I can only hope that wealthy people show better judgement. Sorry Cadillac, the Celestiq gets a thumbs down from me.

What's wrong with it? It looks like a perfectly acceptable car to me. Mind you, cars aren't really my thing so they all look the same to me anyway: they're made of metal, there's a wheel at each corner and they go vroom vroom. And they smell horrible inside.

It looks like it is trying too hard.

Automobiles at this price point should look commanding, like the Mercedes Maybach (and the MM is less expensive).

The Celestiq has a limited production run and with so few being produced I don't expect to ever see one around my neighborhood.

Ohhh Yeeah . . . a 1968 GTO without a vinyl roof. Nothing Could Be Finer!

You must have been horrified to see a GTO so mutilated as to become the Monkeemobile. 1967-Pontiac-GTO-Monkee.jpg
That supercharger is a fake, they had to remove the real one, it made the car too powerful for the actors to drive.

Actually grew to admire the Monkeemobile, but I've never seen it with the top down - except for the plastic scale model.
Can you imagine a modern television show that would match the production value of "The Monkees" today?

In the same way that the Queen never wore new shoes but had them broken in...the last time we bought a new car, I asked if we might have someone drive it for about 6 months until it lost that new car smell.

They have left and right speakers in each headrest, so it's like driving with headphones on. The sound balance will be very good but it must have a dissociative effect, so you cease to care about anyone else on the road. When you're in this price league other, common, people don't matter so that won't seem like the safety hazard that it is.
