As a kid my dream jobs were: Secret Service Agent, stage tech or chef.

Later in life, in my 20’s, after I got hurt I considered going back to school for either: Long haul trucker, nurse of some kind or a mortician

Lately I watch a lot of medical videos. I find podiatry, dermatology, or oncology fascinating. Working in one of those fields would be interesting.

How about you?

The most exciting job was working on the fair, pushing the dodgem cars, spinning the waltzers. Jumping on and off fast moving rides, oblivious to all danger. Oh what a dream, what a life.
But then there is the reality. Twenty hour days, loading the wagons through the night in the freezing rain. Wages so low that shortchanging the customers is the only way to survive. It's such a hard life that a gaff lad is an old man at thirty.
And still the ones that made it that far say it was worth it, when it's good it is that good, and I believe them.
I'm not tough enough, it would have killed me. The fantasy remains as strong as ever.

In the 1970's there was hope that nuclear medicine could effectively treat cancer.
After high school graduation I wanted to be a lab technician at a research hospital.

Currently not working because I was laid off when the place I worked for shut down.

As a kid I wanted to 'build houses' lol (something I'd have no interest in now, plus being old and worn-out I couldn't do even if I wanted to)
When I was college-age & the internet was just becoming a thing, I thought I'd like to do something computer and/or internet related (unfortunately I never did)
I ended up doing boring stuff like customer service and retail work.

I won't do retail again, nor would I do anything that requires being on the phone allot.

Not sure what I want to go into now, I'd kinda like some sorta 'office job' where I could sit there & do whatever boring task undisturbed. Ideally something where I could work from home atleast part of the time (like when weather is bad).
I also like the idea of doing in something somewhat GLBT-related (even if its simply working at a gay-owned company).
