Have you ever tried any of them?

I don't really know anything about them.

California lawmakers sent a bill to Gov. Gavin Newsom that would make it legal to possess or grow some plant-based psychedelics.

They are not for everyone, and shouldn't be used as a recreational drug.

Maybe that's old school. I have no idea what the kids today are tripping on but from the looks of things I'm guessing it's drain cleaner mixed with ether.

I'm disinclined to play with my brain or my perception. I don't drink to inebriate. I don't want my perception dulled, distorted, heightened, buzzed or suppressed.

Whereas I'm for legalizing marijuana because it's simply the reality and on a level with alcohol in recreational use, I figure the dopeheads who are going to abuse it should be able to do it legally just like the drinkers.

I do believe there is greater danger with pot and with psychedelics of triggering paranoia or some other malady, even if it is small.

I know the Psychedelic Furs sing Love my Way.

That's about it.

The king of psychedelic drugs was Owsley 'the Bear' Stanley, sound engineer for the rock band The Grateful Dead.
In the late sixties he set up a factory making large amounts of LSD, made to highest possible quality standards. Money was not his goal, the band were already highly successful. He wanted to share his love of hallucinogenics with the world. The pop groups and show biz stars of the time all got their acid from Stanley, it was far better than anyone elses. Inevitably he got busted, with 325,000 doses " they are just for my personal use" "Ok, I believe you" and went to jail. Users who had been turned on to acid now had to get it instead from regular drug dealers, the kind of gangsters who import heroin. Stanley went to great lengths to keep his acid as safe as possible. Gangsters don't give a fuck, their shit is cut with all kinds of other substances, none of them likely to be safe. So the customers suffered.
I have never taken acid, I would never recommend it. The point of this tale is that prohibition can only make things worse. Some people will always want to experiment. Is it the role of government to make that experimentation more dangerous than it needs to be while at the same time gifting vast profits to the worlds most evil criminals. I don't think so. What do you think?

Tried a few psychedelics.

Can be fun but are often problematic and can be seriously dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Currently The Netherlands has a whole plethora of legally sourceable Research Chemical psychedelic designer drugs and I have tried several and have stocked several more for later.
