What is your favorite play?

To pick a "favorite" is too difficult for me...

I've liked MANY of them for different reasons and in varying ways...

The one that IMMEDIATELY jumps to mind is "Waiting for Godot"...

Mainly -- because it was the first BIG production (actually JUST a college play ) I was in -- way back when I was young...

This should be a FUN thread though!!! ..|

:):):)

Couldn't pick just one. A few favorites are "Streetcar Named Desire," "Porgy and Bess," "Showboat," "A Little Night Music." Lots of Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein. A theater fanatic with pretty eclectic tastes.

I have several...

The Tempest
The Importance of Being Ernest
The White Rose of Munich
Our Town
No Sex Please, We're British
The Crucible
Hamlet
Macbeth
A Midsummer Night's Dream
The Mousetrap

Are we talking play or musical?

Musical is too hard to nail down; as there's just so many I enjoy.

But play, I'd go with "The History Boys" by Alan Bennett.

Mine was called Bent i saw it in London a few years ago , with the American cast , plenty of music , plenty of drama . Amazing .
