i like it for the media center though best part

otherwise its a ok computer

That Palivion looks nice.

Mine is an HP Pavilion a6547c. AMD Athlon X2 5000 dual core 64-bit, 5Gb ram, 500Gb HD, etc. Enough bells and whistles to suit my needs for years to come.:-)

My desktop is a HP something that has Windows Vista and gets the "blue screen of death" so often I rarely use it. The laptop is a HP Pavilion zv6000.

Best computer I ever had was hand built by a computer shop. Just a bunch of parts put together - clean and fast too. When I turned it on the first time there was like 2 icons on the desktop - no trialware, no crap the manufacturer puts on . .Just Windows and some drivers was all.

Desktop:AMD Athlon (I think) 1.8ghz (overclocked to about 2.2 ghz) with 768mb of RAM. Running Ubuntu 8.10

Laptop:Acer Aspire.. Dual Core 2ghz Processor, 2gb RAM, 160 gig HD

Sony Vaio HD Laptop

imac core 2 duo 20", 13" macbook, Asus eeepc, some windows98 box and a few pda things and an iPhone

I have an iMac G5 iSight ( Tiger-Leopard ) and a MacBook 13.3" Aluminum ( Leopard ).

Previously windows PCs: Packard Bell Desktop ( Win 98 ), HP Laptop ( Win XP ), SonyVaio Laptop ( Win XP ).

i've got an old DELL, 2.8 P4 processor 1GB ram, graphics card ect...

All held together with masking tape, case is abit bent as well.

I got plently of Sapphire stickers on it tho, so you think its got a good graphics card in it.... but it hasn't

I am using a Toshiba Equium A60.

It runs WinXP and is heavy, damned heavy. It's also slow and clunking. Sometimes, it takes around six minutes to boot up and for the LED's to stop flashing. I am looking forward to not buying Toshiba next time.

2.6Ghz clock speed on the processor. (fast enough) Integrated graphics NVIDIA 6150SE. (Kinda weak but adequate)

I have a "Cityboy" computer. I ordered all the parts and built it myself in 2001 believe or not and it's still going strong with a few subsequent upgrades.

Here's my current setup:

Thinking of upgrading soon. But what would my Mum do with all those punchcards?

My laptop is a Dell XPS M170, about 4 years old now I guess? Got it for gaming, as I was tired of lugging the tower/monitor/etc. over to friends. I now use the laptop for work as well.

My desktops are both home-built units. My spare that I never use I think is an Athlon 3800X2 with 2 gigs of ram, a Geforce 6800 video card and an 80 gig or so hard drive.

My main rig is an Athlon 5000 X2 Black Edition, overclocked, with 4 gigs of ram, and 2 Geforce 7900GT's in SLI, running on a WD Raptor.

Both rigs are water-cooled with custom lighting and stealthed cabling. Spent WAYYY too much time making them look like they do #-o.

15" MacBook Pro with 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM and 160GB hard drive. Love it to death. I haven't used a desktop computer in over 5 years, at work or at home.

I am a gamer, so I need a pretty decent comp.

GIGABYTE GA-MA790FX-DS5 790FX Motherboard
AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK 2.5GHz Quad-Core
OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066
4x WD WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA2 in RAID0+1
2x MSI 512M 4850OC 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16

There was an annoying problem with that motherboard not supporting the 9850 Black (Or any quad core) out of the box and requiring a bios flash first. But once that was resolved, the box is screaming fast :). I also don't actually run crossfire most of the time, because it prevents you from running two monitors, but every once in a while when I want the performance I do.
