You can test negative in the morning and then end up positive that afternoon just by doing one positive dude.

How is this possible? I thought it took about six weeks for the HIV antibodies to show up on a test. So if I did a positive guy without protection today, how will I know before six weeks if I got infected?

I had a condom mishap a few weeks ago. Is there anyway to know earlier if I got infected other than waiting six weeks and testing then?

I think by "end up" he meant you could be positive, i.e. be infected. Yes you wouldn't test positive for some time after that though.

These numbers are higher than I would have guessed. Pretty sad. I think that it is vital for every gay/bi-sexual man to be aware of this....

which is why I'm bumping this...

A big reason why bareback(unless longtime monogamous,regularly tested partners) is an insane practice...I know it is individual responsibility,but when so many don't know they are infected,casually give it to others recklessly,in ignorance or knowingly and criminally...we've got to stop this from becoming another epidemic.It is so preventable,if people would only give a shit about themselves and others.Have fun,enjoy sex but do it responsibly...the tediousness of having to correctly slip on an undamaged rubber is far preferable to the treatments,the hospitalization,the worries,the expense and the fear and uncertainty of the aftereffects of infection.
