What % of your income do you donate to charity?

If we can include the step-children as a charitable cause then quite a lot.

I only donate to the R.S.P.B and that's only because I feel guilty about the amount of birds my cats kill - otherwise I donate enough in taxes - even though the government don't choose to spend them wisely but there's sweet F.A I can do about that.

Even if the government robs us of 55 to 60 % of our income, I try to donate as much as I can to handicaped children in memory of my daughter.



No I have made no mistake, it is 55 to 60 % in this lovely country.
Mind you, we have a very good social and health protection !

Are you counting only money? Why not also ask about time spent volunteering? That is how I contribute to charities.

Money wise I donate somewhere between 1-2% of my income towards charities of my choice. But then I also spend 2-4 hours a week working for charitable/non profit orgs that I want to support.

To me, giving money is important, but I think it is even more important to commit time and energy to causes that I believe in.

My government decides what I give a lot of my income to. A lot goes to educating the children I don't have, quite a bit goes to the pension I will probably not live long enough to enjoy. Quite a bit goes to surporting the administration staff at the hospital I will be disceted in. And after that there is very little left.

I honestly strive to give 2% of my net worth to charity each year.

I only given money to the church that I'm going. I don't think I give any money to any charity.

I give 3% of my earning to United Way yearly. It's set up with my job to where it's only a small amount per week, it's awesome.
