The Zelda series. Hands down.

Followed by Metroid at a close second!
 
Super Mario, my fave is #2, even though it's not really a Super Mario game.
 
But it's not really a fair poll when you leave out the Ducktales series ;)
 
I liked the Zelda Series (before they got too complicated.) The Mario Series would be second. Don't play any anymore.
 
Zelda series by far. I don't think Nintendo have made a terrible Zelda game yet. Mario would be my second choice.
 
Super Mario Bros., follwed by Zelda, then Metroid (didn't get into Kirby much)but, the Castlevania series i like.
 
Super Mario Bros. My favorite is the third one on the original NES.
 
I loved Donkey Kong Country SOOO much on the SNES when I was younger, so wacky and addictive but I also loved Super Mario World and SM Allstars, SM Kart, Street Racer, Street Fighter II, Demons Crest, Mickey Mania, the list goes on the SNES was awesome (Still is). Unbelievably I didn't play Zelda or Metroid on older systems, only on emulators on my PC recently and I never had or played a NES but the SNES is way better anyway!

I voted for Super Mario because I loved loads of his games and they were the most popular overall in my house but Donkey Kong comes a VERY close second!:D
 
Mine would have to be Mario, followed by Zelda.

Mario is the first game I ever played, and Zelda the second. I still play the originals now and again.

I've yet to play a bad Zelda game, but Mario still tops the list for me.
