And I thought I was the only one.....

Dammit....I will not be able to sleep peacefully from now on.....

blogspot is cracking down on porn sites. His blog was under threat a few months ago.

unfortunately his email was on the blog...but if you do a search for "barederek" he's on a few other websites.

He's fine, nothing bad happened to him or anything. He sent me an e-mail saying the blog wasn't worth the risk, so he closed it down.

raw top was always advertised on derek's site

in fact i think the link said something like "click here first"

The issue is that Bare Derek's blog (and the ning sites he usually pulled videos from) are illegal. You can't distribute whole scenes and call it legal under any stretch of the imagination. In fact when it comes to commercially-produced porn you can't distribute anything but the smallest clips without permission without making a copyright violation, and even small clips if you can't point to the age documentation you can be in trouble there too... That's why my blog doesn't have anything but sponsor-provided promo clips and pictures.

Bare Derek seemed like a nice guy and having talked to him he didn't intend to do anything illegal, but in the end that was the sum total of what he was doing. The bottom line was that he was getting pretty big (traffic-wise) and didn't think it was worth the risk anymore. There are porn companies that are suing first and asking questions later and against little guys who don't have good representation they always win.

I'm planning on putting more videos on my site, but they'll remain sponsor-approved promo clips - there's just no point risking a lawsuit or problems for the feds for insufficient documentation.
