Maneater or Promiscuous? its a tough choice. I'd hav to say Promiscuous i just don't like the low-grunting in the chorus of Maneater.

i like her whole album...glow and afraid are 2 of my favorite songs on the album...but if it was between those too i would go with promiscious.

I love the song Maneater!!!!

sidenote:
Maneater- Both are good, but Timbaland's a better writer than attitude...

Timbaland wrote on both songs and both Timbaland and Attitude wrote on Promiscuous, so your reasoning seems a little flawed. It's not as if one wrote one song and the other wrote the other song.

YUeah, but what I was going for was that Attitude wrote most of Promiscuous' Lyrics, and Timbaland is more than capable of doing them himself. Plus Promiscuous doesn't stand out as much as Maneater. It takes skill to pull of a song with only two instruments.

I've never really been an Nelly F. fan but this new album is a stretch from her previous work, that is for sure.....

The first time I heard "maneater" was during her guest performance on Canadian Idol and I thought it was terrible. Later I started hearing it when I went to Gio's, one of the gay bars here in Winnipeg, and thought, hmm...this isnt that bad. Now I can't get enough of the song. I think its great.

"Its got a good beat, and its easy to dance to".

Cheers!

"Promiscuous Girl" is definitely my favourite of the 2, but it is close! "Promiscuous" is a very infectious tune. Before the "Glow" CD, I really didn't like her music much - "I'm like a Bird" was just about the only tune of hers that I thought was okay. "Glow" is just a great album.:D

Promiscuous. I just love the beat. And I love that synth in the chorus.

"Maneater" is better. Especially if you listen to the extended version where Timbaland goes crazy with the 80's synths. It's a hot, hot song. Timbaland says on the extended version, "Been around the world, I ain't never met a girl like you." You'll love it. :D

I used to like "Promiscuous," before the radio station we're tuned into at the cafe where I work played it every. goddamn. hour. I only work a 6-hour shift but one day, I counted six times I heard it. I even had to delete it from my MP3 player since I just can't stand it anymore.

I'm just hoping "Maneater" isn't as over-played as "Promiscuous" is.

I wished that Maneater had been her first single cause I always prefered it over Promiscious but I still like them both and im glad she had Timbaland all over the album.

Am I right in thinking then that in The US Promiscuous was released before Maneater? In the UK Maneater hit first. I'd known of Promiscuous but Maneter showed up on R n B Hip Hop and dance Shows all over the place, it's a little less genre tied than Promiscuous.

PS...If you've not heard it, check out the remixed version of Missy's Get Ur Freak On with Nelly Furtado. Mad.
