Who are more stuck up: American or English People?

Americans are too arrogant to be stuck-up.

I totally agree;

and when you add to that the facts that we live in the greatest country in the world;

are undoubtedly the chosen people of god;

are the only thing standing between live and total destruction of the world;

well, is there any way at all to be humble?

:p

It's usually the country with the dominance that is ill-liked. America happens to fall into the image. Not that there are no humble Americans. There are.

But as said, people tend to jealous of the rich neighbours, and think less of those with lower income.

People are ultimately divided by class more than nationality.

America has more rich people... therefore more stuck-up.

Well, there were a lot of stuck up snobs in Washington. Thankfully, they lost their jobs the other day. :mrgreen:

I don't know enough Americans to be able to judge. Those I have met I would not call stuck up just some were very naive. But then the same may be percieved by them relating to us.

I am sure they have a similar proportion of stuck up people that we do but I must observe that our "landed gentry" are in fact some of the least stuck up when you actually get to know them. The worst I have found are the nouveau riche who seem to love to parade their status.

Americans, by far. They are less travelled than Brits, and are generally much less tolerant. Oh, and did I mention how many of them are social conservatives? And that gangsta rap culture sprouting up.. I disapprove. Centre of the world? I'm proud of Americans that actually leave their own country to go somewhere else.. but unfortunately so many of them are stuck up about it, always comparing things to their "home" and how things are so much better there than where they're visiting. Then they proceed to eat at the nearest American restaurant chain and stay at the closest recognizable American chain of hotels....

you all speak as if it were a matter of choice

it is genetic - you are born that way

if you are born American that is

just joking
