Possible spoilers in this post, so fair warning:

Everyone thinks that Adam and Colleen are gonna end up together (Rafe's advances are rejected by Adam, and Colleen starts seeing Adam), but I'm hearing Adam will be tangled in the Victor/Ashley coupling, and is going to rape Ashley, causing complications in her pregnancy, and even more problems with Victor and him. I don't know how valid it is (I think I read it in a post on your forum Kenny), but both stories could be possible.

Personally, I don't want Rafe to be gay, because unless he is going to have a bigger part in GC residents' lives (and Estella being his aunt does NOT count), we won't see him, and him being gay will just be a plot device for another storyline.

Well, what we know for sure is that Adam is going to start screwing with Ashley's psyche. Apparently he does something in the coming episodes to make Ashley think she's being haunted by the spirit of Victor's ex, Sabrina. Apparently he's trying to make her think she's gone crazy. Why? Well... your guess is as good as mine, LoL.

Nelson Branco (The Suds Report) seemed to think that this was something major, and making a minor character like Rafe gay for no reason just doesn't seem very earth-shattering to me. Either Nelson was wrong when he said it was "major" or there's more to the story. Perhaps Rafe has already gotten romantic with another male character on the show -- preferably Adam. That would make the most sense, and of all scenarios, it's also the most likely. They've had Rafe in Adam's orbit for several weeks now. Meanwhile, can you imagine the great Victor Newman's reaction if he found out that his son was sleeping with another man?

Please. Victor is a hypocrite. I KNOW he got some nookie back on that boat. That's why he doesn't ever want to speak of what went down with Walter j/k

Yeah, I'd half expect him to break out into Schwarzengger mode and be all "You are no Newman, you girly man!" Hell he already does.

I was hoping that the gay character was going to be Devon, since he needs a love in his life, and the Winters need to be used (and I don't mean this crap storyline with that hideous Tyra *shudders*). It's still possible I suppose, because, as you said, Rafe could have had a relationship on the DL with Devon.

I would hate it if they made Devon gay, simply because I find that character so dreadfully boring. Bryton McClure has never impressed me. However, I agree that the Winters family could use a little spice -- they've been lingering aimlessly on the backburner for well over a year now. I say it's time to bring back the one and only Drucilla. Neil has no chemistry with anyone but her.

What do you think of the producers firing Nia Peeples?

I was pissed that she got such a crap story. IMO, she's a great actress that got put in an awful storyline. Because I have only been watching Y&R since last September, I never saw the beginning of Neil and Karen, but from what I've seen they were boringly happy. Then came Tyra the tramp that acts like she can't do anything without Neil's approval, and acts like she doesn't mean to come between the two.

I think it really should be the actress playing Tyra that leaves, because there's no point in trying to recreate a Dru (who everyone tells me was a true spitfire), and instead bring back Dru from the "dead." They could hook Karen up with someone that actually loves her and doesn't want to just have a fill-in for a lost love. Instead they drop a great actress, Peeples, and keep a hated character. Go figure.

Well, couldn't find an actual person who chronicled their story (didn't realize that the two have been going on since 1990 O_O), so just read the Wiki entry.

Was able to watch some Daily footage. I thought Michael Graz. was hot, but damn Daniel with short hair is so much better than Daniel with the crazy look he's got now.

If you were saying that about any other soap aside from Y&R, I would probably agree. For the most part, soaps today are terrible. However, Y&R is in a league all its own and really doesn't even compare to the others. Often times, it seems more like a primetime drama than a daytime soap, especially when they get into the corporate and business stories.

Honestly, I would say that exclusive fans of other soaps would probably say the same thing.

Also, the longer the TV show, the more bland it gets, no matter who or what they add in to try to spice it up. It's why(or so it's been said) Corner Gas left the air(to avoid that), and it's why so many great shows died out, like 7th Heaven, Seinfeld, or Friends.. people pretty much said, 'it's time for you to go'.

Another thing I don't like out of soaps, how gays often obsess about the gay/possibly gay characters, or just hot guys in particular(but that's also in everyday life)

You're referring to Adam? I'm surprised you even asked considering. Yeah, he's the quickest learner of dealing with being blind ever, so he's probably faking. He was sent to prison for his hand in imprisoning his father by forging a fake confession (essentially the biggest man in the city). His late mother suffered from blindness before she died, so everyone believes he has it....and this is probably way more than you needed to know, but I love the show so I am happy to divulge way more info than necessary, lol.

I used to watch this show years ago with my family during supper. Shame they didn't decide to make Daniel Goddard's character gay, then I'd have incentive to start again.

My mom is beyond obsessed with this show. She has since she had me. Actually she gave birth to me while watching it (actually it was a commercial break). I bad mouth it a lot because I can predict the story twists and what not. The dialogue just makes me laugh. I will agree it is better than most soaps out there though.

I will say, I am surprised more screwing doesnt happen at the coffee shop.
