Honestly I like it when gay men hit on me because they tell me what I want to hear. I know that sounds a bit cocky but being told you are "so fucking hot" and that they want you to fuck them, that you're gorgeous and that your green eyes are pretty is really damn flattering.

Contrast that with women. Even when I've had relationships with them in the past, sometimes the best I got was "tee hee hee hee hee you're so cute." That's about it.

I had a friend at work who said the same thing. He was like..take every compliment you can because someday you aren't going to be getting any. Because of that he liked my directness with him. I'll admit that's one I haven't heard before, but why is it "creepier" to be complimented on one facial feature than another?
 
I think the compliments themselves from gay men are better, because men in general are more forward and sexually aggressive, so it's nice to know exactly what they're thinking. But it's for that reason, actually, that I prefer a compliment from a straight women. The compliment itself may not be as "hot", but the fact that it's from a woman is more flattering. Women typically aren't the aggressors, so when she makes it clear she thinks you're attractive, it really means something.
