Two recent examples of America destroying music. It seems you can't just enjoy the brilliant and classing songs Europe has provided, you have to stomp all over them in your shit covered stilettos.

There is excellence in European music as there is in the US and the rest of the world. There is a fair heap of crap too, far too much in comparison to the excellence.

A big majority of pop music that's mainstream has always been garbage. Europe doesn't have better music either. If anything, they had tons more acts of bubble gum crap than the U.S. did.

The question I have is: If Rock and Roll is supposed to be an American creation, then why are the prime Rock bands are British? The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.

When you're on a 3 year contract with your label that says you must pump out a new CD each year, you tend to release a multitude of garbage and 2 or so gems overall.

Not that I am sympathising with them, just giving you a different way to look at things.

In art school I was told "When you draw something and it looks bad, if you look at it enough it will end up looking good to you" - what this means is these artists probably heard their own work a few times and through human's lovely trait of sticking with routine, it became familiar and even nice sounding to them despite any flaws it may have.

A lot of beyonce's last album sounded poopish to me but I bet to her she thinks it's the bees knees.

Another thing to think of is when you have a paycheck with $2982094890 on it, any garbage music you pump out starts sounding like cash registers and ferrarris.

So you hate american pop/rnb, and then you choose two american artists performing eurotrance/dance, and that's somehow better?

With the exception of DeRulo(who I just plain don't like), they all have the same thumpa thumpa quality to them, which instantly makes me dislike all three. Beyonce's song is more militant(which is what she was going for), the other two are more "life is a big ole' pie you wanna bite into" themed. I don't like pie, so I don't care.

And if we're talking about Kelis, Wanderland was some much better than this album.

La Roux anyone? The lead singer looked like she used a beaver's tail to put on her mascara.

Ramstein is another one I hate. That is nothing but crap.
