Anyone know? "The A List: New York" was a show that aired on "Logotv", and it featured a cast of homosexual/bisexual men who lived, worked, and dated in New York City. They argued, made up, and made a fool of themselves on the program.

Here's a trailer/promo for the show:

I enjoyed it, but it had very low viewership and bad reviews. Why did that happen? Did you watch it? Enjoy it? Hate it? Why for both?

For me, I enjoyed the show for it's youth, quirkiness, messiness, and it not being a rerun of "Rosanne" or some other show. Perhaps that isn't enough to keep people watching, or to get more people to do so. Any insight? What's your personal view on things?

I saw the trailer. I can honestly say I would rather deep fry my face than watch that show. And I have a really nice face that I'm quite attached to.

I'm quite happy that didn't become a hit. My faith in gay people is partially restored.

They all look like a bunch of cretins, no loss.

This form of self deprecation has a very restricted appeal....it's certainly not maintstream attractive....more suitable for art house audiences that can spend their time focusing on the nitty, gritty...

I am not surprised that it failed...

Nailed it.

Omg This.

I actually was thinking eating broken glass instead of watching it.

All the 'people' were horrible.

It was fucking horrible. It's like they took everyone in the gay community you couldn't stand to be around, and put them all on one show.

The preview looked like a collection of the worst gay stereotypes, or a bunch of Fagdashian wannabes.

I just don't get the appeal for these kinds of "reality" shows and living one's life vicariously through TV.

I don't mind flamboyant, non-straight acting uber queers. I'm married to one, lol. BUT i don't like bitchy fake tan having vacuousness. Also Fagdashian is the best word of I've ever heard.

you deserve a medal of honor or something for the word "Fagdashian."

To me it looks like your typical reality tv show, just with gay people. Which means it looks horrible because reality tv is horrible.

... it featured a cast of homosexual/bisexual men who lived, worked, and dated in New York City...
That is probably the answer to your question right there.

Fucking hell! I just watched that trailer ... even 30 seconds of it was too much.

^Nice shade-throwing, but for what it's worth, a vast majority of gay men in NYC are nothing like those stereotypes represented in the show.

I watched both seasons and enjoyed it. One of the guys was a winner of The Amazing Race with a former boyfriend. But I love reality TV.

as far as I could tell, they put together the most loathsome gay assholes and douchebags and selfish jerks and then told them to be themselves. I can't imagine anything more insufferable than having to watch that.

This show was so god awful even WE didn't watch it. (and lets face it if a show on Hallmark Channel with Barbara Eden has a neighbor's gay grandson in one scene we'll WATCH) But I wasn't offended by these stereo-types. no more than I was as a NY Italian by Growing Up Gotta where the Guido bois were speaking English and STILL needed subtitles to understand WTF they were saying. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence KNOWS that's not "us" and reality TV characters are just that, characters. (now that show with the horrible fighting over-dressed GYPSY women, that really IS them, Gypsy ladies are apparrantly just horrible people I know that now) :-) :-)
