Because people have very firm ideas that are often made up of very little factual or detailed information, and a confusion of information, can't forget that possibility, about what may constitute straight, gay and bisexuality, and/or taboo gets 'em off. That goes for the reverse as well.

Oh, it's all acting, I'd think. I doubt people get in front of a camera and don't subconsciously put a little spin on it.
