not justusmen/bros/guys/fellas/dudes, there's like a thousand different ways to say "I have a penis" but whoever created this website specifically chose a word that implies a prepubescent male. In the name of Jeffrey Epstein we need some answers.

An it's misleading, too; women are actually welcome to join.

I miss the wommenz. Especially alpha and stacy, they were gems.

EDIT: Damn, checked your join date, if this is your first account you missed the alpha era.

Boy can, but not necessarily always, imply a prepubescent male. Like the phrase "one of the boys" doesn't necessarily imply 12-year-olds....or my user username either.

FTR; The boys who created the forums on this site bought the Canadian based site, then 'Linkmeallover.ca', around the beginning of 2003. They didn't change the name to 'JustUsBoys' until early in 2004.

'Boys' is as casually/commonly used as any of the other terms that you suggested. Even so, there was a minor shitstorm about it, then, but most seem to have gotten over it.

when I was dating a guy from Bumblefuck, South Carotennesippi i'd call myself city boy and him my country boy. doesn't that just make you and i the exception that proves the rule?

I think the problem with the word 'boys' is an American thing. To us in the UK, the words 'bro' and 'dude' are both dreadful Americanisms which we don't use, or at least try to avoid. Over here the word boy doesn't mean child, the word child means child! Your hair, however, is still looking fine. Is there a rule banning the use of the word 'gotten'? If not, can we start one?

A minor shitstorm? Anyway, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fabulouslyghetto and I don't get over anything, I get under it. :gogirl:

I am all for starting a thread banning certain phrases. Add "irregardless of the fact" and "I feel like" to that list.

It is fair to allow others to contribute, sure. It's also fair to ask for a rationale, no? I have gotten quite used to using it.

Look I don't make the rules I'm just doing my job. I'll let you off with a warning but next time you say "gotten" I'm gonna have to put you in cuffs.

Do we feel the same way about movie titles? Song titles?
