I manufacture them, in my room. Well not me, but I trained monkeys to do so.

Sorry bout the shortages, I'll have to feed them more often. :(

you are probably looking at the wrong time....you need to find out when the stores in your area get their FedEx or UPS shipments.....most of the time it is in the afternoon.....wiis are almost always shipped that way.....oh yeah and don't waste your time on saturday or sunday only during the week.

Actually I got my hands on a wii (no pun intended lol) a few days ago. Any chance of getting one online are for retail price are pretty much zero. What I did was walk into gamestop on monday and asked the guy if they had any and he obviously said "no". However, he said they get a shipment in at 10am the next day. Needless to say I was there at 10am the next day in line with a bunch of housewives. I managed to buy the last one they had at 10:05am and lets just say I made a 10 year old cry lol. Yeah literally all it takes is five minutes and they were gone.

The best thing for you to do is to contact a larger retailer like target or best buy and see if they know when thier next shipment is going to come in. Gamestop and EB do not get very many at a time, where best buy and target are going to get at least 20 more like 50 at a time.
Usually they'll tell you when they get them, you arrive early early in the morning (like at the latest 6am) and wait till they open. They hand out tickets, and if you get a ticket, you get to buy a wii.

Either that, or try looking for independant game shops. The only place you can ever find a Wii here in Philly is at a small chain of independant game shops. They have not been out of stock of Wiis ever since launch.

It's also worth mentioning that at E3 Nintendo made it pretty clear that Wii shortages will continue through Xmas. So I would try to get one before Xmas, since they'll become completely impossible to find by october/november

well does anyone think i should start buying games now?? cuz who knows when i'm gonna get this thing

I had Smash Bros. Melee well before I had a Gamecube. Til this day I still treasure that game.

The thing with EB and gamestop is they have to divy them up among tons and tons of stores, but they can really only afford to get the same amount that target and Best Buy get. Thats why they only get small amounts at a time. They also decide the amount they ship to a store by it's overall sales numbers for the whole store.

i had to get mine off of ebay for about 380........was pissed that i paid that much, but now i dont regret it.....i think it was well worth it.....still impossible to find any here and this is a shit town....Laredo, TX

I hear costco currently has them in stock in the stores, and selling them in a cheap bundle. I think $340 or something.

I work at wal-mart and I can't begin to tell you how many calls we get in a day asking if we have wii's or when we will get them... We never know when we are going to get them... And I have never even seen one on the shelf because they are always sold out by the time I come in. I had to buy one on e-bay for double the price when they first came out...

When I got the Wii, i wasnt even looking to buy one. I was just at the store and i saw it and i was like okay ill get it. The lady was liek your lucky we just got them today, and they go fast. I had no idea that Wiis were in short demand, i feel lucky now. Best of luck finding one.
