I downloaded and installed IE 9 and so far I'm lovin it. HTML5

Vista 32 bit version

The browser has a larger field of view. The favorites are under a star on the top right corner.

I was able to disable a couple of Google and Norton toolbars which were causing me delays at startup thanks to the suggestion.

Norton prompted me to fix the 'Identity Protection' web browser settings, but now it's on.

Already, I'm noticing that YouTube videos are loading much faster.

Houston, we have a problem.

Inserting smileys in the middle of sentences instead of where I have the cursor.

I have to move it manually, before posting.

Plus, the favorites is on the right hand side, which is fine since I'm right handed and the cursor tends to rest on that side anyway, but the arrow which allows you to move the list to the left is only temporary. It reverts to default when you close the browser.

Leo Laporte (This Week in Tech) says MS has tried to make IE 9 look like Chrome.

I think it's still in beta.

More problems. I'm getting a lot of hanging and restore website messages.

I'm so glad they improved upon the piece of crap that was IE 8 with another piece of crap.

The beta test isn't going well on my end.

Ok avoiding Internet Explorer all together. Its a death trap.

It's not a total loss. IE 9 does appear to be faster and I like some of the new features.

I've never had any operating system or browser from Microsoft that didn't have problems.

I may just start using Firefox or Safari.

No, I'm still using IE 9. It has some quirks but it does run a bit smoother overall than 8 did.

I'm sure they'll update it to death.

I turned my Norton toolbar back on and it seems to be fine.

I really like the zoom setting options. I don't even know if 8 has it or not but I never found it if it does.

Downloading files is different. The window that used to be smack dab in the middle of the screen and needed to be moved or minimized is reduced to a toolbar shaped window at the bottom which you can click on and enlarge or just watch the progress as is.
That's an improvement.

Started freezing and hanging up a lot today.

I uninstalled the IE 9 updates and went back to using IE 8.

Case closed.

Although I prefer them hung, the jury was unanimous, Mr. Bear

I didn't even know there was an IE9. I never liked any of them anyway. I'm sticking with Firefox.

I moved from IE to Firefox and have largely stuck with it. Dabbled with Chrome and Safari for a while, then back to Firefox.

I dabbled with Firefox. Now, I am using Chrome. I love Chrome.
