J I dont care for this guys threads anymore then you do. But he really hasnt done anything wrong here. He just posted a winner of a talent show. Just wait and see if he bumps it alot. Then I'm sure the mods will do whats best.

Lisa...ok voice...nothing special and kind of a boring song imo. I'll assume her other performances were better ...or maybe there wasn't much competition...;)

I enjoyed your song more than hers...the 2nd link in your signature. ..|

(your 1st link didn't open to your song ...)

Its not as good as Alexandra Burkes version from UKs X-factor which it was obviously copied from. She doesn't have her power or range.

She kinda looks a bit butch too. Maybe its the crappy tattoos. Or deep voice. Or broad shoulders. Was she born a woman?

Only another Leona, Beyonce and Christina so some of the best female artists in history!

Well a bit to early for Leona but she will be!

At least it makes the great Leonard Cohen just that little bit more financially secure in his old age, as the main bulk of musical royalties go to the composer of the song.

Here's a great cover of the song:

BTW: greaves smiled when seeing one poster in this thread describe the song as "...kind of boring." :D

A dickhead Jubber who probably believes Madonna is talented, still lives with his parent(s), and is unemployed/unemployable.

They could not have butchered that song any more than they did... Atrocious really is the only word that comes to mind.
Don't give them any ideas...

I had thought it would be much harder to find a pic of Leonard Cohen smiling, but The Net and Google are a wonderful thing

"Hallelujah" was written by Leonard Cohen in 1984.

Since then it has been "covered" by over 200 singers. Some great. Some good. Some ok. Some with the singing talent of greaves.

If you've got the time, go YouTube the song. There are versions by Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, Sheryl Crowe, Bon Jovi, Il Divo et al...

Here's KD Laing's version:

^ What did I say about ideas?

Over 200 singers, according to Mr. greavy...

Wow, I hadn't seen k.d. lang since she did the music for that Van Sant cowgirl thing... she looks like some fat Greek... k.demis roussos.
