Oh, it is easy to accept. I can pretty much guarantee not everyone cares about my pet as much as I do. But I believe this poor woman probably cared for her own dog as much as I care about mine, and she would be the first to say so if she were still here.

I think what a lot of people find hard to accept is that some pets really do outrank some people in the list of things we should care about.
 
And that's what's going to happen to us if we don't figure something out by then.
