Feminists have never acknowldged that, even though men had more political power in the past than women, they also had several more obligations and that women's lives were held in more prestige than men's - unless the man in question were the Pope or king of some country. The problem with modern women is that they want to have their cake and eat it to: they want all rights that men have, but none of the obligations. They want to be able to run for President, but still be isempt from the military draft. They want to make it in the business environment competing with men for the same jobs, but they still expect men to defer to them and treat them with kid's gloves. They want to have their own money so that they don't need to be subjugated to men, but still expect the man to open the car door for them and to pick up the tab every time. It is ridiculous. No wonder more and more men reject these spoiled feminazi brats and choose to remain single into their thirties and forties. I think women better start changing their attitudes towards men, or more and more of them will end up very lonely.

When you have ten seconds to decide, it should be women and children first. A strapping, 25 year old that would knock an elderly woman down and step on a baby's neck to save his own sorry, cowardly ass would be looked upon with contempt by a civilized society. He might not find his life worth living anymore. It's less about survival of the fittest than the simple, forgotten act of standing up as a man! Let's not get so wrapped up in the spirit of contemporary, egalatarian, sissified entitlement that we forget we are men, after all. Besides, my mom and aunts may be watching and I've got to say the right thing.

I agree. I can see where everyone else is coming from but if I it was something where I had just a moment to decide my first instinct would be to allow a lady to go before me. I don't think I have it in me to just fight my way to survive and let an old lady drown. Even if she was old.

I believe that if women wanted emancipation, they should get one. Children first, but women should be treated equally with men.
