Good for you and bravo to your family for being so accepting.

Congratulations! Glad everything went so well.

What do you say?

Hey I came out to my mom a week ago and she has nothing but love for me. She was the only important family member in my family that needed to know so I was glad. Congrats man

long and unnecessarily complicated story short...

i realized it was time. i was already out to at school, to my brothers and close friends so i decided it was time for me just to be fully open and honest with everyone.

so on the weekly phone call home, before i hung up, i just said "hey mom/dad, there's something i've been meaning to tell you...it's something i've always known and have just recently come to appreciate and love about myself...i'm gay."

and while they were a little taken aback at first, they wamed up and said, "you know, we will always love and support you. this doesn't matter, it doesn't define who you are and want to become."

like i said, it was really great, comforting, to hear.

Congrats. A heartwarming story. You have excellent parents.
